Excellent news coming out of Epsom this week; we are one of seven new stations added to the Oyster Pay-as-you-Go scheme!
As of Monday 25th February, Epsom Station, alongside Merstham, Redhill, Earlswood, Salfords, Horley and Gatwick Aiport, will now accept Oyster cards, mobile payment and contactless payment, making it easier for locals to access London whilst simultaneously increasing accessibility to Epsom itself. The updated ticket barriers should also ease congestion at peak times
"We have worked with the Department for Transport, Transport for London and South Western to realise the requirement in our franchise agreement to extend Pay-As-You-Go Oyster and Contactless to Epsom," stated Alex Foulds, Business Improvement Director for Govia Thameslink Railway.
"More stations will follow, across the South East rail network.”
